Good Faith Estimates

Ashley Swon Counseling is a private-pay practice. Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for scheduled services.

My standard fee is $100 for an individual 50-minute therapy session. If you receive an approved sliding-scale rate, your estimate will reflect that rate.

A Good Faith Estimate is based on the services expected at the time the estimate is provided. It is an estimate, not a guarantee of the total cost of care, as the frequency or length of treatment may change.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services. If you are uninsured or self-pay, you will receive an estimate when required by federal law.

If your actual bill is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill under the federal No Surprises Act.
